“A vote withheld is a vote against Christ.”   - Billy Graham

“BUT, you CAN'T preach about POLITICS!"
The JOHNSON AMENDMENT limited free speech for churches (and other non-profits). Sure: We cannot tell you that you have to vote, nor endorse a candidate from the pulpit, but we can talk about issues. We should talk about the issues! Pastor Joe is NOT a POLITICAL PREACHER. Still, we know that every week that we preach, we indeed preach a political message! We’re declaring our ALLEGIANCE!

Historically, there was the, “BLACK-ROBE REGIMENT” (BTW: preachers used to wear "black robes..."). Churches and pastors worked to spark and kindle the flames of revolution in our country. Before free speech was legislated from Christians (with an original intent to promote the racial bigotry and segregation of the 1960's by silencing moral preaching), there were annual Election Sermons! …these were powerful!

Though we won't command you to vote, nor endorse a candidate, we will show you where the candidates lie on the issues, and how those issues relate to Christian Freedom. It’s our prayer that, “...the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

There is a difference between political issues, and biblical/ moral issues…

If God addressed it, it’s not a political item. God has dealt with so many of these subjects in the Bible that later have become weaponized political points.

"Choose for your tribes wise, understanding, and experienced men,

and I will appoint them as your heads."

Deuteronomy 1:13

Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me,

your High God, above politics, above everything.”

Psalm 46:10 (The Message)

"Better to have wisdom than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much that is good."

Ecclesiastes 9:18

"For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."

Galatians 5:1

"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority?  Then do what is right and you will be commended." Romans 13:1-3

"Choose for your tribes wise, understanding, and experienced men, and I will appoint them as your heads."  Deuteronomy 1:13

    The Bible has something

    to say about this...

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”

Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”   Proverbs 13:20

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”  1 Timothy 2:1-2

“When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

    Proverbs 29:2

“‘Cursed is anyone who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ Then all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”  Deuteronomy 27:25

“The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.”  Ecclesiastes 10:2

“Do this so that innocent blood will not be shed in your land, which the Lord your God is giving you as your inheritance, and so that you will not be guilty of bloodshed.”  Deuteronomy 19:10

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”  Proverbs 14:34
