The opportunity to bless a specific Jewish family in Israel who are in need:
With the help of Rabbi Natan Alexander,
New Chapel has identified a needy family who needs a shelter.
Zohari, 46 years
old, is married to Hagai, 49 years old, they have 3 children.
The mother has been full-time caretaker of all the children, who are special
needs. One of their children, a 13-year-old son, needs to be showered and taken
to the washroom daily.
This situation was exasperated in 2019 when Zohari, the husband, suffered his
first heart attack. Since then, he has undergone ten bypass surgeries
with stents placed in his heart.
Zohari’s hereditary diabetes and cholesterol have exploited a lower limb problem.
After a scheduled leg surgery, he is on standby for four more needed surgeries.
While Zohari has suffered health complications, the situation cascaded when their
13-year-old son has had a bypass because of arrhythmia issues that endanger his
life.
This is all during wartime.
This distress has triggered severe anxiety in their special needs children. The
mother cannot work because she takes care of the whole family in recovery and
need.
Further, this hardship has caused a residual financial hardship. They are
insolvent. Having moved into Zohari's parents house, which does not have a bomb
shelter, they have been at the mercy of their ability to commute to others
during air raid warnings (which typically only offer 15 seconds before potential
threats).
For a discounted rate, a local Builder and Rabbi has offered to partner with
New Chapel with the potential to build a bomb shelter – which could be a literal
life-saver for them in their hour of need.
