WORSHIP

Secondary Title

Worship opens our hearts to see God all around us. When we worship, we get to celebrate all that God has done for us and how He is working in our lives. At New Chapel, we thrive on bringing people into God’s presence through our worship each week. There are different ways to serve on the Worship Team: musically, vocally, and administratively.

At New Chapel, we believe that each person apart of the worship team and Sunday morning experience has a vital role in actively “leading worship”. As an electric or acoustic guitarist, you not only provide musical skill but also understand the responsibility of leading the church body and ushering in the presence of the Lord. You're not at all just background noise… we all play a vital role, and we need your talent!

GUITARIST

Playing the guitar (especially in a worship setting) requires diligence in learning about the intricacies of lead lines, riffs, and licks but more importantly also understanding sensitivity with tone and volume and tastefulness. It’s a process that requires commitment and dedication. Then add the most important characteristic… an unbridled love to glorify Jesus.

The drummer provides the depth and power of full, loud parts of worship as well as the soft, atmospheric parts. The drums drive the band to fully rock out or die down during the worship set. If you have a passion for percussion, then be a drummer on the New Chapel worship team!

COMPUTER OPERATOR

One of the most important instruments on the band is the computer! We use Ableton Live to play our click tracks and worship loops. The computer operator types in the appropriate keys during the song to go from one loop to another while also controlling the click-tempo for the rest of the band. No instrument knowledge is necessary, but you must be able to play on tempo.
